Human content moderation is a multi-billion dollar business in which large technology companies employ thousands of frontline workers through Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) vendors. Companies aim to empower these professionals through effective tools, workflows, and resources, as well as ensuring supportive working conditions and wellness support. However, they may not always get the opportunity to understand the experience directly from a moderator. This presentation offers a firsthand account from a BPO content moderation veteran who started as a moderator and progressed to a trainer and manager. Attendees will gain valuable insights and best practices for optimizing their moderation teams’ success.
