Spotify’s Content Safety Analysis (CSA) unit requires a Manager to be responsible for the strategic development and maintenance of its Annotated Datasets. As these datasets grow in volume, number of languages and complexity in the coming years, this role will have a key function to play in the management of all related processes and projects. These datasets contribute to the CSA team’s goals of detecting and understanding key information risks within the Spotify catalog of content. The Annotations Management Manager will also be responsible for the wider adoption and usage of these datasets across other Spotify functions.

What you’ll do

    • Management of the Annotations Management function within the CSA Product Area, including the line management of an Annotations Quality Analyst
    • Developing and maintaining business processes related to dataset adoption & annotation review
    • Identifying and delivering opportunities for continuous improvements to existing processes with scalability and usability in mind
    • Supporting the adoption of CSA datasets across other Spotify business areas
    • Building and maintaining documentation supporting internal annotation capture and review processes
    • Driving the development of, implementing, and monitoring various dataset quality metrics
    • Driving and supporting operational excellence in day-to-day work within the scope of the role

Who you are

    • You have extensive experience working with data annotation projects and processes
    • You ideally have a track record of work in the information risk/online harms field
    • You are an experienced project manager, with a strong mix of strategic and operational skills, which will allow you to work fluidly across multiple collaborators with both technical and non-technical roles
    • You have line-management experience
    • You are analytically minded, an excellent communicator, and a facilitator in getting complex projects achieved in a fast-paced environment
    • You are a self-starter, able to see around corners, pre-empt problems, and keep projects on track.
