The Position

What You’ll Do

As a Project Manager in Site Policy, you will ensure that the pillar’s initiatives stay on track and that the team continues to experiment and innovate with a growth mindset.

In this role, you will work closely with our Lead Project Manager in the US to extend PM support to the EMEA timezone. On any given day, you will:

  • Serve as a thought partner to Site Policy regional leadership and Working Area Leads by framing project or program decisions with actionable analysis, critical thinking, and strategic recommendations.

  • Continuously improve and implement a framework for conducting the team’s annual, quarterly, and monthly sprint planning. Guide the development of strategic narratives and prioritized project lists, and ensure that the resulting plan is effectively cascaded to each member of Site Policy.  

  • Collaborate with Working Area Leads and Regional Managers to develop and implement project planning, skills tracking, capacity planning, permissions access, and other work management systems, based on the specific needs of each working area and region.

  • Create templates and standards that streamline communications between teammates and stakeholders to meet deadlines, produce necessary work products, and achieve team goals.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the T&S policy lifecycle process and productively engage with Site Policy partners and stakeholders. Mediate disputes with XFN partners over prioritization, timing of projects, project scope, and resource contention, working to surface proposed win-win solutions to Site Policy Leads as needed. Improve and standardize the criteria and process for assessing the launch readiness of the team’s policies.   

  • Shepherd the policy review process and work with partners – in legal, product, engineering, and operations – to schedule the timely rollout of policy changes. Develop an understanding of internal policies, risk mitigation strategies, and best practices related to policy creation.

  • Handle team localization processes and related projects, in conjunction with cross-functional partners

  • Ensure that the Site Policy team communicates timely and relevant updates about team priorities, projects, and developments to stakeholders within the team, department, and company. 

  • Ensure that policies are developed through a streamlined approach that delivers a prescribed set of deliverables at a consistent level of quality. 

  • Educate partners on policy review practices and standards.

  • Keep team informed about other T&S or company-wide product updates and changes that may impact Site Policy

  • Work across Site Policy to help the team demonstrate the impact of recently-shipped policies, workflows, and features with metrics and information

You will report to the EMEA Regional Pillar lead. This is a full-time role.


  • 5+ years experience in program management, partner management, and stakeholder communications.

  • Solid grasp of policy frameworks and policy development processes

  • Advanced knowledge of JIRA

  • Well versed in team management, tracking, and work management best practices

  • Works well under pressure; outstanding at sticking to timelines/deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Aptitude for quickly learning and mastering communications and business tools

  • A creative and innovative mindset

  • An unquenchable curiosity about all things Twitter
