About the Team

The Trust and Safety team at HeyGen plays a critical role in ensuring our AI technology is used in a safe, ethical, and beneficial manner. Our goal is to establish standards and systems that prevent misuse while promoting the positive impact of our AI on society. As we expand our product offerings and explore new applications of AI in video generation, the Trust and Safety team’s work is vital to our mission of bringing innovative and safe AI solutions to the market.

About the Role

As the first Product Manager for the Trust and Safety team at HeyGen, you will be instrumental in developing and executing strategies that ensure our AI technology is used responsibly and ethically. This role requires a blend of product and operational excellence, understanding of AI technology, and a commitment to ethical principles in AI development and deployment.

Responsbilities

  • Work closely with engineering and research teams to identify potential risks and develop proactive safety measures for new and existing products.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on HeyGen’s ethical use policies, guiding internal and external stakeholders on responsible AI use.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of use cases and content, identifying violations of our policies and enhancing our risk mitigation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine our safety tools and policies, ensuring they are aligned with the latest in AI safety research and best practices.
  • Establish metrics and monitoring systems to track the effectiveness of our safety initiatives and make data-driven decisions to continuously improve our processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
  • 5+ years of building trust and safety measures, policies and leading relevant team collaboration and customer communication
  • Subject matter expertise in Product Safety, Trust & Safety, Integrity, Spam & Abuse or other related areas
  • Proven experience in operations, policy, or a related field within the tech or AI industry, with a focus on safety, trust, and ethics.
  • A deep interest in artificial intelligence and its applications, particularly in the field of video generation.
  • A pragmatic and hands-on approach to operational challenges, with a track record of defining the problems and goals, developing and implementing effective solutions with scalable operations
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to inform decisions and drive improvements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with teams across the organization.
  • A principled approach to ethical issues in technology, with a commitment to promoting safe and responsible AI use.
