Position Overview

As a Trust & Safety Manager, you will be tasked with working collaboratively and cross-functionally with other team members and colleagues dedicated to maintaining a safe and respectful online environment for our users. Reporting directly to our Head of Public Affairs and Global Policy at Tencent, we are looking for the right candidate with the experience, passion, and creativity to identify opportunities to promote trust and ensure the highest-level of user safety in our products and platforms, including for our video game offerings. This position will be based in Singapore and is expected to work with colleagues locally and across Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Americas.

Responsibilities include:

  • Participate and contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of Trust & Safety policies and workflows, including issue discovery, strategy formulation, and effective risk management measures.
  • Employ a data-driven approach to analyze key operational metrics and identify platform and market-based trends with solutions that address such risks.
  • Foster close collaboration with cross-functional partners, internal and external stakeholders, and senior leadership to continually improve procedures and policies based on emerging trends and challenges, and to ensure compliance with all laws, policies and processes.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of industry experience, with at least 2 years of experience in either trust & safety, privacy, compliance, or similar functions;
  • Experience working with international partners across different time zones and cultures, including working on legal or regulatory compliance obligations;
  • Strong project management and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Ability to execute quickly with limited guidance on complex, cross-functional projects with multiple working groups, building high-performance team dynamics;
  • A driven, self-starter personality that thrives in a fast-paced environment to create positive outcome; and

Desired skill sets:

  • Strong preference for background in video gaming, online marketplaces, or social media.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin), in order to communicate with various stakeholders in headquarters
